Why I Started Blogging
A friend of mine told me recently that I have all the essentials to make a good blogger. I have a subject I’m passionate about, the UFO/Abduction Phenomenon. I write well, and I like to do it. I’m excited about this new direction in my life for a couple of reasons.
First, I need to write. It helps me to focus and “move forward,” instead of retreating into video games and such, in the face of Majestic’s continuing harassment. (Those who have read my book know to what I’m referring.) Writing for me is medicine. It helps to relieve the aces and pains of being an Experiencer.
Second, my Book, Abducted by Aliens, wa only the beginning. Much has happened since then, and continues to happen almost every night. I have more material than necessary for a second book, but as one of the better rejection notices I received put it, “It is a good book, but we can do little for you . . . The book industry is broken. The book publication-distributor-wholesaler-bookstore model is broken. The economy is broken. We do not pick up books to distribute anymore.” So . . . without the prospect of selling any book I may write in large numbers, I’ve decided to turn to this new forum called Blogging to get my word out. Even at the age of 62, this “old dog” is trying to learn some new tricks.
As I said, I have a lot of new material. Much of what I will blog, however, will refer to past events, so to give readers a reference point I’ve decided that the first posts will be excerpts from my book. The site also offers links to “UFOs in the News.” Check it out. It’s updated frequently and is a great resource.
I’m new at this, so I’ll make mistakes along the way I’m sure, but I have a lot to say. I hope you’ll stick around to listen.
